Exhibition CATEGORIES

 

The Cross Stitch Exhibition is a focal point of THREADWORXS Fair. We are excited to bring together the work of Midwest stitchers and display it in the gloriously historic Rapp Owen Granary. We know so many talented needlewomen and men whose finished work should be shared with everyone. That is just what our Exhibition is about!

Without further ado, here are your Categories for the 2026 Fair. 

     1.  Young Stitcher - must be under age 18.

     2.  Verses and Sayings

     3.  Unframed Smalls - to include accessories, stand ups, drums, cushions, and pieces sewn rather than framed.

     4.   Christmas - framed and ornaments

     5.  Other Holiday

     6.  Birds and Animals

     7.  Architecture and Landscapes 

     8.  Historic Reproduction Samplers

     9.  Full Coverage

   10.  Contemporary

   11.  Miscellaneous - to include Original Designs

   12.  Challenge Theme - “Remember the Ladies, John” Abigail Adams to John Adams. In honor of the 2026 Semiquincentennial entry shall be appropriate to 1776 and celebrate Americana.
